World Telecommunications Day Celebrations
CIRC Barpali has started digital designing classes for the weaver community of the region. Located in Bhargarh District of Odisha, CIRC Barpali has been set up with the prime focus of empowering the traditional Sambalpuri weaver-community by training them with various computer applications. The centre mainly trains weaver in CAD software which they would use to create computer generated patterns and designs which they would be replicated while weaving. Digital designing helps weavers create a larger collection of designs, giving them an opportunity to innovate and experiment within their traditional weaving styles.
