World Telecommunications Day Celebrations
On 27th April, a new NDLM centre was inaugurated in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. This new centre is an initiative of Nasscom Foundation, with Digital Empowerment Foundation as the Project Implementer and Capgemini as the supporting organisation. The inauguration was graced by the presence of Mr Shrikant Sinha, CEO Nasscom, Mr Osama Manzar, Founder-Director DEF, Mr Atul Kulshreshta, Vice-President Capgemeini, Dr Sandeep Verma, Assistant Director Capgemini and Dr Sarfaraz, local community representative. Children with their parents, as well as teachers from neighbouring schools were present at the ceremony. To welcome the guests, girl students performed a beautiful group song, ‘Swagatam, sukh-swagatam’. Representing the community, school teacher Ms Shaheen shared her thoughts on the newly opened computer centre and encouraged everyone to make digital literacy a part of their life.
