This year’s mBillionth Awards brimmed with some very interesting mobile innovations. From mobile app that alerts fellow travelers about impending natural calamities, to the one that encourages long distance travelers to share rides, from empowering Kabariwalas of the city, to facilitating easy access to healthcare to the rural folks; the programme showcases an array of unique smartphone apps that caters our multiple needs, from initiating socio-economic transformations, to simply becoming a part of our day-to-day lives. The programme was graced by the presence dignitaries and high chairs from media, NGO, IT and corporate sectors. The award ceremony saw active participation from the South East Asian region.
The programme also had a CIRC exhibition stall that captured attention of many visitors, who not only praised the CIRC initiatives, but also expressed their desire for prospective partnerships.
The high-point of the Awards was the Gala ceremony in which the most innovative and freshest concepts were duly recognized and awarded by the Grand Jury.
