CIRC was launched in Bhadrak district, Orissa on 1st July, 2013. It has facilitated poor students with better education and prepared them for better employment opportunities. In a time span of few months it has successfully achieved some of its goals and is gearing up for a better future.
Initially, there are two batches, one with 10 students in morning and other with 14 students in evening. Now the number has increased largely with around 52 students enrolled in the centre. Centre conducts regular monthly practical and theoretical test.it provides a platform to poor students to become self-employed.
In CIRC the students of local community get most benefits. Odia and Hindi typing through Akruti software. CIRC have also given basic knowledge about RTI, RTE, structure & functioning of Government, Rural developmental projects, Government schemes, election system, technology, social-political issues, personality development, social media, spoken English ,banking etc. During the time of school exams the centre conducts special classes on tips for better preparation during exams. Students were learning online ticket booking, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, online programming. Students of class- 10 have filled their +2 forms through online in CIRC. The +2 students have check their result through online in our organization.
Other activities are conducted regularly to increase student’s skills. They have prepared handicraft things like mobile purse, table cloth, winter cap etc. They have also interest in tailoring. We have organized the henna workshop among the girl students. On 26th January, Republic Day and women’s day was celebrated in the centre. Various cultural programmes like group song, painting competition.
Students of centre are in discipline, active and very creative. Most of the students are interested in new PGDCA course. Regular meetings and discussion with student are held for proper functioning of CIRC.
