On the occasion of Labour Day on 1st May 2016, CIRC Halduchaur in Haldwani, Uttarakhand conducted awareness gatherings and walks. Coordinator Naval and trainer Tulsi educated students at the centre about Labour Day. Afterwards, door-to-door mobilisation was conducted in which village community were informed about their labour rights and were encouraged to make use of them. They were made aware about CIRC and how computer literacy can help them bring about a change in their life. They were also told how with the help of smartphones they can know about their rights and entitlements. The high-point of the programme was when villagers were shown a motivational film based on child labour, with a message in the end that how much education is important for their children.
