World Telecommunications Day Celebrations
Before initiating the Capacity Building Workshop, 2 minutes silence was observed in the memory of Motilal ji who passed away few days ago. Motilalji was a great mentor to the entire DEF team.
The Workshop began with the a session delivered by Ms Annie Besant who introduced participants to the British Council’s Manzil Course, a unique programme to improve spoken English and personality development. Later, an activity session was organised by CIRC team members Saba & Irfan where participants shared their hopes, expectations and fears. This was followed by CIRC Team Member Dr. Siddiqui’s session where he shared with people the vision of Digital Empowerment Foundation and CIRC. Next was Irfan who spoke about DEF’s programme Soochna Seva. Last was an inspiring session by Ms Zohna and Mr Sachin from CLT India, a visionary initiative to make e-Learning easily accessible and affordable to students hailing from even the most backwards regions of the country. To conclude the day, Ms Khaimar from CIRC Mahbubnagar enraptured all with a song dedicated towards women empowerment. Participants eagerly looked forward to the next day…
