Story of a carpenter driven by his passion to become digitally literate
Owing to his lack of computer knowledge, a basic graduation degree was not helping Boresangpek Halam get a steady job. And the constant pressure he received from his family made him miserable. Success finally came his way when he got himself enrolled in the NDLM centre. As a dedicated student, Halam underwent the rigorous digital literacy programme, and acquired skills in computers and its myriad applications. As he went perfecting his abilities in word processing, excel spreadsheets, data entry and internet accessing, he gradually cleared the path that tool him to the perfect job. Today, he works as a Data Entry Operator in the National Rural Health Mission in Tripura and brings home a salary every month.
