Story of a carpenter driven by his passion to become digitally literate
Taking goats out for grazing and working on the farm was how Sangeeta used to spend her days. Resident of village Jakhli in Madhya Pradesh, Sangeeta belonged to a family that faced financial constraints. Sangeeta wanted to work and improve conditions at home. However, her family didn’t support her wishes. Opportunity knocked her door when she was identified as a potential entrepreneur during one of the community meetings. Her journey of transformation was not an easy one as she received constant demotivation from her family. Fighting all odds, Sangeeta today stands as an independent entrepreneur. She operates CIRC Jhakhli with a flare, and teaches computers to learners at her centre with great enthusiasm. Shy and reserved once upon a time, Sangeeta is confident and outspoken and does not hesitate anymore to share her story of transformation.
