Shimla Singh, a resident of Mungaska, in district Alwar of Rajasthan, passed away 10 years ago, survived by his wife and daughter. His wife, Lakshmi, opened a small grocery store to financially support the family. However, the shop was so tiny, it couldn’t generate enough revenue. During one of the community walks, Regional Coordinator Yusuf met her and learnt how she wishes to open a bigger shop. Yusuf told Lakshmi about ‘Swarozgar Yojana’, a programme where one get receive loan from the government. Lakshmi visited CIRC Mungaska and read more about the loan. She then filled up its form with assistance from the centre staff. She soon received a loan of one lakh rupees. Today, she successfully runs a bigger grocery store and earns good money.
