World Telecommunications Day Celebrations
Swarozgar Mela (Self-employment fair) was organised recently at Halduchaur in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. The fair was conducted on behalf of Mahatma Gandhi Swarozgar Samiti of Halduchaur. The objective was to encourage people from the village to become self employed and show them new prospects. Cabinet Minister Shri Harish Chandra Durgapal was the Chief Guest of the event, while other special guests were District Officer Shri Deepak Rawat, SDM Shri Pankaj Upadhayay, Mandi Committee President Shri Sumit Hardesh, as well as local partner of CIRC Halduchaur, Shri Ravindra Sharma. Coordinator Naval and Trainer Kamla also participated at the fair to introduce people to CIRC and encourage more and more people to join the digital literacy course. People were educated on how digital literacy would also help them in becoming self-employed. People were also informed about the various digital services that they could easily avail at the CIRC. People were eager to know more about CIRC and approached the centre staff for more information. Cabinet Minister Shri Duggal and District Officer Shri Deepak Rawat showed great curiosity about CIRC and asked several questions, while SDM Shri Upadhayay expressed appreciation for the CIRC Project.
