On 5th June, CIRCs across the country joined in the global celebrations for World Environment Day. Staff, learners and community members gathered at their respective centres to discuss how environment can be protected from degradation. Other activities and programmes, such as awareness rallies, cleanliness drives and sapling plantations were conducted as a conscious effort towards conserving environmental, reducing pollution and protecting planet’s receding green cover. Several centres conducted art and craft workshops to teach children how they can recycle waste products by turning them into beautiful and reusable items. Students took a pledge to save water and electricity and make every possible effort to protect what nature has bestowed upon us.
