Pindwara is a small town in Sirohi district. As of 2001 India census, Pindwara had a population of 2 lakhs. Male constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. It has literacy rate 60% with lower female literacy rate. Cement and marble are the major industries of area. It is prosperous in minerals and natural resources. In the last couple of decades, the large number of this block is being exploited by unscrupulous business houses. A fairly large number of ST and SC people work on these mines in condition of exploitation, which gives them jobs. These jobs are hazardous for their health and they do not get enough money for their living and remain under poverty.
