Story of a carpenter driven by his passion to become digitally literate
Om Prakash from district Baran of Rajasthan belongs to the Sehriya tribe, one of the most vulnerable tribes of the country. A resident of Bakanpura Panchayat, Om Prakash had barely completed his 10th standard when he joined the CIRC Bakanpura. He gradually gained proficiency in several computer applications at the centre. Additionally, he was able to enhance his skills in reading and writing too. Today, Om Prakash provides technical support at e-Mitras in the village, especially to those operators who lack knowledge of computers. Moreover, computer education has boosted confidence of shy and reserved Om Prakash who can now easily interact with other people.
