E-commerce is slowly making its way to rural areas. At CIRC in Mettakilavalasa, in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh, the youth of the community tried online shopping for the first time. The boys were quite excited about the prospect of buying books right in the village, and have it delivered to them as well. Online shopping provides access to a variety of goods right at the doorstep, thus eliminating the need to travel to the city in search for particular goods.
