On 100 years of Champaran Satyagraha, a programme was organised on under Google’s Internet Saathi project. Dr S N Subba Rao graced the event with his presence. He spoke about the struggles in Pre and Post-independence India, and how the development of the country can only happen when the rural communities are empowered. He went on to add that initiatives like Internet Saathi are drivers of change in rural India, by creating awareness and skilling women to empower rural communities.
